Yo’, Music Diggers, It’s Merry-New time again. That includes myself: this is the return of the Where’s Warren news-blasts, and looking forward to the jingle bells of gig jive, fellowship news, and pert jam journal (well, as I remember, I was intermittently scolded for “talkin’” too much)…
...A GOOD 2015, eh? It’s was a good 2015. Saskia and I got out on the road quite a bit: Poland, Russia, Italy, India/Bangladesh, Belgium, and of course, my 2nd home the Netherlands—and not to leave out—travels and shows in the USA, the 17th year of the Afro-Semitic Experience, gettin' DeFunkt with Mr. Joseph Bowie and just some great moments all around—not bad, eh, especially after a 2014 well-spent in pursuit of physical correction. Well, I doing swell now and looking forward to 2016. If El Niño has no say, January will be a winning month! Laroo/Byrd, The Afro-Semitic Experience, Al Carter Project, and many sideman joys with the great drummer and long lost bro-man, George Mastrogiannis, and not to forget Liviu, Roger@Lauretano, mr. Blue, Ms. Ransom, Stamford’s new point of jazz light, MLK, NY'sE, NY'sD, EdW, BLkEydSly's...(W-H-E-W!! I'm getting lost)...it would be a far cry from my "tame" November--get deets below… Upcoming WB Appearances Thu, Dec 31 @ 8:00 PM Warren Byrd w Edwin West Project Vitos by the Park, 26 Trumbull Street, Hartford, CT Warren’s 2015 finale is a feelin’-good hit with Singer West and many of his fav cats and kit #1 Saskia Laroo—the Vito’s NYE Anni review with R&B, Soul, Rock, Pop, Jazz standards in the Edwin West-style; with Rich Goldstein-Guitar/MD, Steve Porter-Bass, Drums-Jon Fisher http://www.vitosbythepark.com/#about Ph: (860) 244-2200 Fri, Jan 1, 2016 @ 11:00 AM Duo Laroo/Byrd & Alvin Carter Jr Northend Senior Centre, 80 Coventry Street, Hartford, CT Wow, it’ll be New Year’s Day and trips down memory lane as far as Duo Laroo/Byrd, the music diggers, and drummer Alvin Carter, Jr are concerned—all kool music rendered.
